Partner with Little Rock Edu Funding

Central Arkansas has a dense network of churches, and many already run a weekday preschool or Mother's Day Out. That is the usual starting point for a K-6 school. The state report shows 12 to 40 student schools participating alongside the large campuses, so a small start can qualify.

Start a school or learning community

Arkansas participating schools range from about a dozen students to more than 1,500. A church-hosted K-6 school or two-to-three-day hybrid built on an accredited curriculum is a realistic start.

Getting a new school into the EFA

  1. Choose the model: full-time school, hybrid, or microschool.
  2. Meet Arkansas's requirements for private schools and plan for accreditation.
  3. Apply to the Department of Education to be a participating school or an approved provider, and set up ClassWallet billing.
  4. Choose a nationally norm-referenced test and give it every year. The results go into the state's report.
  5. Price tuition against the $7,208 account so families can see what's left.
